It plays with WinDVD but not with Media player 11..
Is there something I must turn on..

Go to Control Panel and select Sounds and Audio Devices on the Volume panel select Advanced, check that the Line In is not set to Mute. Also does the sound work with Media Player 10? there are still quite a few bugs in the version 11.
