no sound (not a/v)

none of my messenger sounds will work (contact online,
new message, atc) the options setting for this is

I also have no sounds like you on my IM, have you solved

the problem. I have checked all my settings also, and un-
installed and re-installed windonws, and msn. Would
appreciate any help, as I keep missing my buddies
 
No I have not found the problem. I belive it is another
program I have installed that has created this, but
cannot figure out which one.
 
If you ever do sort out your problem, please post what
you did, as I am constantly searching my programs to see
what could be wrong... I have just installed incredibail,
and it has sounds which I can hear, it just seems to be
IM, what a bummer!!
