No sound in PP presentation

I copied PP file from desktop to DVD, but laptop won't play sounds. Checked
and sound files are on DVD and show on hard drive file. Checked sound
settings in control panel and no mute selected. Why can't I hear the sound
files when the laptop runs the presentation? Also tried with reading file
from personal media drive, but still cannot hear sounds on laptop.
