No sound in Powerpoint 2007

Hi,

I have edited a video clip using Corel Video Studio 12 Software (mpg file
extension).
However, when I use same video clip in my powerpoint presentation, there is
no sound.
Please help!

Which codec did you chose to encode the sound part of the video? Which MPG
format did you use - MPEG-1, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4? It might be a codec problem
(the media player used by PowerPoint cannot use all codecs). Can Corel Video
Studio output to WMV (with Windows Media 9 codec)? Those files normally work
better in PowerPoint.
