no sound card???

Please someone help me, my PC wont play any sounds or audio of any kind. One day i am enjoying listening to tracks on my media player ,the next day nothing, zilch, nada, what have I done? In my sound and audio props it says i have no playback, midi playback or recording devices!!!! The PC is only a month old so i dont think it will be a manufacturing fault. Any ideas guys?
 
Please give us more details, like motherboard, sound card and if the sound
card in built into the motherboard.
