I've had a similar problem in the past. My computer's sound is controlled
by Santa Cruz and I had to open that program and begin there. Santa Cruz
has a built-in sound check utility and that was a good place to start. I
would guess that you should start there. Find out which program controls
your sound and start there. I doubt your problem is very serious. If you
have external speakers, you also might try turning them off, then on again.

one you got. You will get help here, eventually. This is a great place to
solve computer problems.
