This is the third time I've entered this post. Does no one
have any ideas? I'm running Outlook 2002 on a Windows 2000
Server and it doesn't save the sent items even though the
box for "Save sent items in Sent Items folder" is checked.

Youi know something. I noticed this as well. If you try to make a new message and send you'll get the sent e-mail in the Sent folder. But if you reply to an e-mail this issue occurs. Is that right or are you getting it all the time?

Sort of. If I create an email on that machine, it saves
the sent item, but I have a workflow application that is
using Outlook to send approval notifications to people.
These items do not show up. They are briefly in the outbox
but never make it to the sent items folder.

Sounds a little different. This that you mention I recall reading at Microsoft that this issue occurs. Saw it when I was trying to investigate my issue.

I believe what you have here is design. Did it ever work correctly?

Yes. It worked fine on our old Windows NT 4 server using
Outlook Express. We implemented a new Windows 2000 Server
and standardized on Outlook 2002 and now it does not work.
Email is sending and receiving just fine, it just won't
save any record of the messages.
