Hi everybody
I have windows XP 2003 professional on my computer, but on NTFS partitions i
have no security tab when i go to partition's properties.
Plz Help me

Thanks

Go to folder options. somewhere there you can find a radio button "use
simple mode" or something similiar. use this one, and you will have the same
interface as in win2000.

In Windows Explorer go to Tools, Folder Options, View and uncheck Use Simple File Sharing.

I am having the same issue. No folder security tab shows
up. I have a newly installed system with Norton IS 2004,
MS Office xp and a few little apps like zip and adobe
reader. I am using NTFS on XP Pro and the "Use simple
folder view" is unchecked. I am Admin. Any other ideas???
Tony

Tony, its possible that a Registry restriction has been put in place on your system. Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Look in the right pane for a value called NoSecurityTab. If it exists, its value should be 0 (zero). If not, double click it and change it. If the value doesn't exist, right click in the right pane and select New, DWord value and name it NoSecurityTab. Leave it at 0.

You may also want to check for this setting in the same branch, but in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
