Hi!

Can't find why this tab disappear.
What must I do to set this tab on?
I want to set permissions in files and dirs.

Thanks

Hi,

You should have your hard disk/partition formated as NTFS
partition. FAT32 does not support these features.

If you dont have XP Professional, then you "cant" get the security tab
unless you boot into safe mode.

There is one way that you can get the security tab in XP Home without safe
mode, but keep in mind this...

XP Home authenticates ALL outside connections through the Guest account, and
there is no way to set up individual permissions for outside users on an XP
Home computer.

This tool however will be useful in setting permissions on files and folders
for local accounts.
