no search contact activities

New job, new Office 07 Outlook setup. When I click Activities tab in a
contact, no search happens. No results even though I've sent emails to the
contact. WHAT IS WRONG? Cannot find any fix online?

Note, I first installed Office 07 with BCM. Tried it, but too confusing.
So I deleted BCM from Add-Remove Programs. Could this be the problem?
HELP, need history data.
 
Sorry, additional information: My O-07 email account is IMAP. Company
security setup will not allow POP account. Also, I just setup a Rule to
transfer IMAP Ibox and Sent to Personal Folder Inbox and Sent folders. Note,
no Activity search engine before and after this rule initiated.

This doesn't address your question, but your comment intrigues me. I wonder
why your security people think IMAP is any more secure than POP.
 
Small family business. No IT-Security staff. Husband of family setup.
Stonewall, thinks multiple accounts in one Inbox is best???

Again, dead-end. Need help on Activity question.

I have the same problem with activities, all the boxes are checked etc but
only a few contacts will show activities. It is really frustrating.
