no response from pop3 server

I use MS Internet Explorer 6. When I attempt to access my
e-mail, I get a popup window message that states that Pop3
server has not responded in 60 seconds. I can not send or
receive E-mail.

Turn off email scanning in your anti-virus. It provides no added
protection.
