im tryin to get an older comp working but cant log on till i provide windows
registry # and i dont have it what do i do ???

Could you be referring to a product key? It's on a sticker that is
either attached to the computer or to the installation CD envelope.

Can't find it? If you can provide proof that you are the owner of the
software, Microsoft might be able to help you.

it just says fuzion technologies on front ... i think it was xp loaded off
limewire if there is no way of doin this how can i get it goin if i can at
all or is it garbage

You would need to purchase a Windows license with installation media if you
want to run XP on it, "xp loaded off limewire" is pirated software.

ok thx guys just thought id try to get er goin wasnt mine so dont know much

Do you mean the password that Windows asks for during bootup or the Windows'
Product ID or ????

There is nothing called "windows registry #." Please clarify exactly
what it is that you mean.

Sure, you can get it off the PC. Put any other XP disk in, boot, and get
to the part of setup where you choose partitions.

Delete the partitions, and then shut down. You're done, and the drive is
ready for its next OS.

If that Product ID is in the operating system, I believe you can find a
program (small script) that will find it after using a boot disk.
You would have to Google for it.
I'm really not sure what number you need as I am not familar with XP, only
Win2000Pro and Win98.
I didn't realize that WinXP actually asks for the Product ID when it is
booting up with a previously installed system.
