I TRIED CLEANING PROCESS AND TO NO AVAIL...REPLACED WITH
NEW COLOR CARTRIDGE AND NO AVAIL...PRINTERER WILL NOT
PRINT THE COLOR RED IVEN IN NOZZLE CHECK. IS THIS A
BREAKDOWN IN EPSOM 440 COLOR OR A PLUGGED NOZZLE HEAD AND
IF SO CAN IT BE REMEDIED AT HOME? THANKS FOR ANY HELP

Epson and Canon printers (especially older models) are notorious for
clogging ink nozzles. Once the nozzle is clogged, it's almost impossible to
clear. I went through the same thing with an Epson Stylus Pro, and was told
by Epson that it would be cheaper to replace the printer than to have the
nozzles replaced. There are some nozzle clearing solutions available if the
nozzle won't clear itself after repeated cleaning cycles (do a Google
search). It's recommended that you do a full color printout page at least
once a week to ensure that the nozzles don't clog.
