No red colour - Windows ME

Monitor adjustment display has red but none anywhere else -
instead there is a dirty dark brown/almost black eg: on
flag on start button and pallet etc. Not know if always
like this - tried restoration but no change and settins
tab in "Display Properties" has not proved of help. Are
there any possible software solutions I can try or may a
hardware problem responsible?

Why are you posting this here?! Did the 20 ME groups completely evade your
notice?! Of course they did - or you'd have posted there. I'm not going to
assist you because you can damned well go and post correctly!
