No Records Showing in Record Selector

I have created a number of tables and set the relationships between them and I have created a form for easier data entry. However, once I have entered a record on the form, closed the form down and reopened it the record I entered is nowhere to be found. But, if I run a report based on data I had entered on that record it is found so it must be somewhere. Why doesn't it appear in my form again? I haven't got the form properties setup to display only blank forms on opening. Help please!

What is the data entry property of the form set to (if yes, then you'll only
be able to add records and not see existing ones).

If that isn't it, perhaps the recordsource for the form is a query with
criteria that is limiting the records you see.
