No Record Source, no dependencies?

I have a chart. It may be based on one of several different queries. I
am not sure which. I also can not find out which. If I right click and
choose "Object Dependencies", it says there are none. If I open it in
design view, and choose properties, the value for "Record Source" is blank.

All of the queries it may be based on rely on criteria pulled from a
dropdown on a form. If I open it without that form being open, I get a
prompt for the value, if I open the form, the results change as I change
the selected value of the dropdown. So it is obviously based on something.

I have done a compact/repair. What the Hell?

Now, I could make a copy of the database, and start deleting queries
until it fails, but that is not the point.

Open the report in design view and select the chart object. View its
properties and find the Row Source property. This should be a query name or
SQL statement.

I Did.

"If I open it in design view, and choose properties, the value for
"Record Source" is blank."
