No prompt to select a profile when starting outlook

Wondering if there was a fix for this? Outlook is having
a problem with this even though the check box for selet a
profile at startup is checked. Can somebody help. Thanks.

Are you exiting using "File | Exit & Logoff" ?
Do you have anything open in the background that might be keeping
outlook.exe running - such as PDA sync software, fax software, etc?
 
Make sure that Outlook has closed completly before trying to open it again.
Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to get a list of programs/processes. Make sure Outlook and
mapisp32 are no longer running. After doing that, you should be prompted
for what profile to use.
