I am running XP Pro, IE 6 SP1. When ever I try to print a
web page it pops up the the following error:

An Error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 639
Char: 1
Erroe: Invalid argument.
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/prewiew.dlg

Do you want tp continue running scripts on this page?

I looked in the KB and none of them apply to my Windows
product. Word works fine but if I try to print from an
Outlook email, it does the same error. I have 2 printers,
a Sharp laser and an HP inkjet and none work.

IE Help>About>Update Versions> Is Q822925 listed here? If not, go to
Windows Update for this important patch and others you may need.

See this KB article. Re-registering all the listed DLLs may help:

IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot). This will probably make printing available
but I'd strongly advise finding and removing the BHO (Browser Helper Object)
which caused the problem:

Dealing with Unwanted Spyware

These days most of us are recommending HijackThis: Post your files to the
forum mentioned on the above page. Some of these bad guys have started
blocking users access to AdAware's and other's pages! More at on this at
http://www.spywareinfo.net/sep16,2003.

If you cannot access the page to download HijackThis, use this link:

If you find you need CoolWebSearch Shredder, use this link:

(30 Sept-03: 1.21 is the latest version. Get a fresh copy of CWS Shredder
before each use.)
