Hello everyone. I am 4 month experienced user with terminal server.
I solved a lot of issues with terminal server by viewing, as a guest,
solutions by Vera and Mathew. Much thanks to all your solutions.
I now have a problem with Mac users that has been driving me nuts.
One of the users uses the MS free RDP software for Macs OS 10.2.8 and up.
This user has a USB Lexmark z53 printer but when ever he connects his printer
is not mapped.
He has “Printers†checked in the RDP software in “Local Resourcesâ€. I even
created my own costumed “print.inf†file on the server pointing this printer
to HP laser Jet 4 and 4 plus drivers as Vera suggested to others but still no
go.
I have even use drivers from a Linux printing website that designed drivers
(Post script ones as well) for Epson and Lexmark printers, for Mac OS since OS
10.2.8 and up has built-in drivers for those printers (and those built-in
drivers are not the full based drivers).
I was thinking of sharing the printer on the Mac and then try to RDP to the
server or even use a batch file to map a client’s redirected printer to LPT1
provided by Mathew Harris’s website.
I decided to see what you pros have to suggest.
All opinions are welcomed..
Thank you for your time…
