Hi,
I've just purchased the P4P800-VM, I've connected everything properly,
when I turn the power on, the fan was on, the light on the motherboard was
on too, but it just couldn't boot into the BIOS, and there's no beep sound
at all. I am pretty sure there's no faulty component, coz I tested out every
single part except the CPU, since I don't have a spare one. But the CPU was
brand new intel Pentium IV, it shouldn't be faulty. Also, I've make sure
everything connected firmly especially the RAM.
Also, I've tried out to just connect the Ram, Power supply, Monitor,
CPU, Fan, and disconnect everything else including the case. but it doesn't
work either.
My power supply was an ATX power supply, it works on other computer,
so there shouldn't be faulty too.
Can you advise me what else I can do, I stuck for a whole week
already, and really couldn't get help from anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Adrian

Hi

Are you saying that you cannot startup the PC after pressing the power button
Or you cannot boot into BIOS after power up the PC

To boot into BIOS, press the power button and press the Del key to boot into BIOS setup

For cannot powerup the PC

First, make sure all the power connections are connected properly especially the power on and reset buttons
Also check the two 12V power supply to the mobo, one is the large rectangular power cable and the small square 4 pin power cable. The large one is to supply current to the mobo and the small one is to supply current to the CPU. Pls refer to the mobo user manual for details
For no beeping sound, if your mobo has on-board sound chip and use BIOS reporter to report BIOS, you cannot hear the BIOS report since you cannot boot up the PC. If your chassis has internal speaker, you can connect the speaker cable to the mobo speaker out socket
BTW, when you start the computer, is the CPU fan on the CPU start turning?
If not, check carefully to ensure the CPU is installed properly and ensure the small square 4pin power cable is properly connect into the power socket on the mobo
Also, have you connected the harddisk and the power cable

I'm glad you got an answer, but please note:

Don't post binaries to a text newsgroup. I didn't want your binary
crap on my computer. Bye bye now.

Sorry, I am confuse, what do you mean by binary? I didn't post any binary
other than the normal ascii text.....

Opps, I am sorry, since I've asked this question from other forums, and
couldn't get a solution, therefore I just copy the original message to this
newsgroup, didn't realize that I've copied the picture as well, sorry about
any inconvinence cause.

Adrian,

It wasn't inconvenient so much as something that is considered poor
netiquette and generally rude. Just be careful and watch what you are
posting!
