No POST beep on working machine

P4C800-ED. I built this box last weekend and it is running fine with OS and
programs all loaded. But I have never heard a POST beep on this board. The
"talking MB" feature is enabled in BIOS but I have never heard it say
anything either. The "speaker" works because it did go off once when I
failed to connect the 12v to the video card. Any ideas?

Bad speaker on board (if it uses one that's on board) or the system s peaker
not corrected properly

There is no post beep for this motherboard. Check out the faq's at the asus
web site for this board.

Same with the p4p800 boards - There is no post beep if all goes well, only
if there is an error. Very confusing.

With regards to the "talking MB" feature, even if you have it enabled in
BIOS (default), you also need to enable the error reporting in the same
sub-menu for it to work. Trust me, it's no big deal and you'll soon get sick
of it.
