Do you use AdSubtract, of any other popup stopper?

Quite by accident I discovered what was causing my problem. I use a utility
called AdSubtract to suppress all those annoying pop up ads, banners, etc.
When I shut the utility off, the error on page problems goes away.
I am using windows xp. Sometimes when I click on a word that is supposedly
bringing up another window, it just does not do it. It has "error on page"
message on bottom left. Can someone help me please??
