No pics, just boxes

I recently have noticed that most of the images on
webpages on show as a small box with a red triangle/green
circle and blue square inside where the image should be.
I have looked every for how to fix it....can any help me
please?

You might try right clicking on the screen and then go to
encoding. Look to see if it is defaulted to something
other than utf-8(unicode), if it has click on unicode and
then try redisplaying the page. I'm having the same
trouble and am looking to see why it won't retain the
utf8 setting.
 
Do START, Settings, Control Panel, Add/remove programs, IE6, then click
REPAIR, reboot and then all will be OK.

Let us know it worked.
