Hey Everyone,
I have tried to install Windows Vista Beta 2, but im having problems.
Firstly, I will state that I am a Computer Network Engineer, so I know quite
a bit about computers.
Anyway, I downloaded the 32bit Vista Beta 2 ISO from Microsoft, and then
burnt the image to a DVD. The image burnt correctly, and putting the DVD in
during Windows does load up the installation screen.
However, when I try to boot from the DVD, it comes up with the error "No
physical memory is available at the location required for the windows boot
manager. The system can not continue", and it then halts.
I want to install Vista on to a new Hard Drive, so I do not want to do an
upgrade inside windows.
However, I have tried installing Windows XP on to my new hard drive, and
then tried an upgrade, and after it restarts it tries to boot off the hard
drive and the same error ocurrs.
I am running a Notebook, with a Pentium M-2.0Ghz CPU, and 1GB of DDR RAM
(2x512MB SIMMS), and a 40GB Hard Drive. The notebook is actually a Clevo
M375C Barebone notebook that I customised myself.
I have never seen an error like this before, and Google does not find
anything when searching for that complete phrase, and neither does any of
Microsoft's searches.
Any ideas?
