No Photoshop thumbnails, how do I modify Registry?

How do I modify the Registry so that photoshop folder
thumbnail images will appear as the thumbnail image
a .gif or .jepg etc. does.

I remember I did it on 98 but am unsure of what do do on
xp.

Hi Kelly
Can this procedure be applied to Paint Shop Pro's proprietary *.psp
files or does this function rely on being provided by the software
manufacturer?
