It was all going fine for a long time, then one day I hit preview and a long
winded message pops up telling me that the Photo Story preview cannot
start, using words and phrases such as "necessary system resources","files may
be corrupted" and "reinstall and try again".When I try to create music again
a message pops up going on about "components might be missing or corrupted".I
did what it suggested and reistalled but no luck.I can still create the end
video, but it`s a long process to go through to find mistakes.I have 1GB of
RAM and a AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2GHz CPU,any help please.

If you get this error after attempting to add music, I would suggest you try
converting the music into a different format. If it is a .mp3, try
converting to a .wma -- it it is .wma, try going to .mp3. It appears that
Photo Story may be a little more picky on the music file than your favorite
music player app.

I would also try adding just 1 or two photos with no music and see if you
can generate a preview. If not, you might have a problem with a particular
photo, especially one that is found on a CD.

One final suggestion is to update your video drivers. A recent post in this
newsgroup showed that this resolved a similar problem.

Mark,
Sorry for the delay to your reply.I`ve try about
everything, including your suggestion.I am now very close to reinstallation
just to get this little bugger working again.I do have screen shots of the
error messages. Is it possible to send you these ?
Tony.
