No Permission to access Exported file ?

This has happened to me almost everytime I try to back up my email with the
export function.

I export the *.pst file to a CD or my HD and then when I try to open it up
to see if it is ok I get this message:

File access denied. You do not have the permissions required to access file
(file name.pst).

I have over 600mb of email and wish to store it on a CD. Using the Back Up
Add in I downloaded from MS takes several hours to back up, I usually have
to stop it to continue working.

Can I just copy my *.pst to a CD and use that as a archive ?

CDs are read only - Outlook requires read/write access. Since it can write
to the CD, access is denied.

Copy the .pst file to your hard drive and remove the read-only check mark
from the properties page.
