When we right-click on either WindowsMessenger or MSN
Messenger, we can sign in as one particular person- no
password needed. Is this the default account person?
How did this person get assigned as the default? How do
I change it? I don't want anybody to be able to sign in
without a password. I just got Windows XP, so I'm not
very familiar with it.

Sorry, I don't know how to do this either but I was just
wondering if you ever learn how to do it, would you let
me know too. I have the same problem and it makes me
nervous knowing someone could go into my passport. If
you could, please...
send any info to (e-mail address removed)
It will be very much appreciated!!!

Greetings JWal,

The "default" Passport user was defined by any user who clicked the 'Sign me in
automatically' checkbox in the .NET Passport sign in dialog. You can remove this by clicking
User Accounts in the Control Panel. Select your account name, and then on the left side of
the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network Passwords'. In the window that
opens, click the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and click 'Remove'.

Then if you desire, you can stop people from saving a Passport in the future by downloading
and running this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/disablenetcreds.reg
You'll need to reboot to see the change.

Thanks a million! This worked like a charm. Nobody else
was able to tell me how to do this.
