No Password Expiration prompt when logging in thru VPN

When performing a domain logon thru a Cisco VPN client the user is not
prompted with the password expiration warning message. Any way to fix this
issue.

I wouldn't think you'd ever be able to see it, because the user is logging
in with cached credentials and *then* launching the VPN client, right? I
don't think you can log into the domain directly using anything but the
built-in Windows VPN stuff.
