I have been trying to get to a certain page on the internet
but it keeps coming up Gateway Timeout. Contact the
administrator. What does this mean and how can I get to
the site again. thanks

It means there's a problem at the web site of which there are many at the
moment because of the swen worm that has many mailboxes and servers
overloaded. All you can do at the moment is wait it out.
