We use Outlook 2002 and Exchange 2000 at the office.

Some users experienced a problem during the X-mas period.
The problem is simple: Out of office replies were sent
normaly on the cie subnet but any destination OUTSIDE of
our business domain didn't get Out of Office replies.

Is this a compatibility problem between Outlook and
Exchange or a problem specific to Outlook?

You advice will be apreciated.

Thank you,

Simon Parent

This is normal default behavior on Exchange 2000. Consult with the Exchange
administrator about how automatic replies and forwards to the Internet are
handled.

Thank you Sue,

The Exchange Administrator is on Vacation until Jan 5th! I
(Junior admin) am left in charge of the whole
infrastructure and it sometimes turns out to be a chalenge!

I greatly appreciate your help, thanks again.

I wouldn't change the setting. The purpose of suppressing automatic external
replies is to avoid mail loops.
