Hi Everyone

I'm very new at all this. I have Outlook '03, and a POP server-- is there any way to make the Out of Office Reply available without an exchange server? I've tried everything I know how to do

Thanks, Beth

The Out of Office Assistant is only available if you are using Exchange
server on the back end. If you are not using Exchange, you can emulate the
Out of Office Assistant by using Rules. However, you will need to leave
your machine on, Outlook open and expect to be on every spammer's "live"
list as you will not be able to discriminate between who does and who does
not get a response.

You need to use rules to mimic an OOF. Look at Tools, Rules Wizard.
