I have an xp pro peer to peer net work and I'm getting an error message that

...."no more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time..."

I have 6 computers on the network.

What do I need to do to fix this?

This computer was an XP Home computer and I upgraded it to XP Pro after
getting this message.

Thanks.

XP Pro will only accept 10 concurrent connections. One machine may be making
more than one connection at any one time. The error message tells you that.
One answer is to make sure that the total number of mapped drives does not
exceed one per machine. If that doesn't work the only answer is a proper
server OS...

Windows XP (Home or Pro) is not a server operating system. Read:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328459/en-us
(see 1st paragraph under "Notes")

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314882/en-us

Your 5 other hosts are making more than 10 concurrent connections to
your newly migrated WinXP Pro host.
