I have formatted my HD but now I found out that I cannot boot from CD. I
have tried to boot from a floppy but it gives an error that the MS Dos
version is not correct. Any ideas?

In order to boot from the Windows XP CD, you must first
open your BIOS and set the CD drive as the first bootable device.

If you have a motherboard manufactured within the last 5 years it certainly
does have the option to boot from a CD. I have not seen one that doesn't!

Look at your M/B manual when all else fails. If no M/B manual - look at your
computer manual!

If there is no option to boot from CD in your BIOS, you really shouldn't be
installing XP on that system, since it will be too under-powered for XP.

Actually, I already had XP Pro Installed on it. Its a P3 (Maybe 633) with
128MB Ram. It used to work perfect with XP.

Well, how did you install it the first time. Do it again!

What model BIOS and version number are you running?
Award, Pheonix and most others currently used allow for IDE-CD ROM, HDD,
FDD, USB-FDD , USB-HDD, USB-ZIP drives to boot.
Please Post BIOS NAME and Version.
