I've encountered an inconvenient new behavior with Windows Vista. With
Windows XP, if I go to advanced power settings and choose 'Do Nothing' when
the laptop lid is closed, the computer will be 'locked' when I open the lid.
I use this all the time to start a big job and secure my computer quickly.
Now it looks like I have to take an extra step to lock the computer before
closing the lid. In the new Vista power management, the only option that
will automatically lock the computer is 'sleep', which will stop my processes.
Am I missing something?
