Just installed Office 2003. Outlook seems to have lost the link to the news
groups in OE. Is this an Outlook issue or an OE issue? Worked fine in
Office 2000 Pro from the toolbar, but now its gone. Also OE seems to keep
crashing, 100% CPU usage when I try to Synchronise or Catch Up. OS is XP Pro
with all the latest updates and all the Office 2003 updates. I am on a large
network with Exchange 2k.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't get OE to run long enough to
check previous posts, hope this is not the wrong group.

Thanks

Edd

The news problem is a known issue. Go into internet explorer's tools,
options, programs and choose Outlook Express. Close Outlook and restart it,
then reset the toolbar you added it to using tools, customize.

As for the News icon not present under the Go menu, try the following steps
if Diane's suggestion doesn't work for you:

If nothing else works then try theses steps:

1. right click on an empty space on the toolbar and select Customize...
2. on the Customize dialog, click the Rearrange Commands... button
of the Commands tab
3. when the Rearrange Commnads dialog is displayed, do as follows:
a) select the Go item from the drop-down Menu Bar listbox
b) click the Add button
c) when the Add Command dialog is displayed, do as follows:
- select the Go item from Categories list
- select the News item from Commands list
- click the OK button
4. click the Close button on the Rearrange Commnads dialog
5. click the Close button on the Custommize dialog

Thanks Diane for your help... That fixed the news group issue. How about
the 100% CPU usage and every time I turn OE off it crashes and wants to send
a report to Microsoft.. Is this a known issue as well? <g>
Thanks
