I have been running Windows XP sp1 with no problem since
its release. All of a sudden my PC reset itself after
getting the infamous blue screen error. Once I got back to
windows the computer continued to restart (sometimes after
5....sometimes after 25 minutes) and not always, but
sometimes, I'd see "windows has recovered from a serious
error." I decided not to mess with it...formatted and put
a clean copy of windows in. After installing a few initial
pieces of software, SAME PROBLEM! I have no new hardware
or drivers...I don't understand it.
Other than all of the windows updates here's what was
installed:
Roxio EZCD 6
Office XP SP1
Winzip
Winrar
Norton (anti-virus, ghost, utils..2003)
DJS Shared licensing (?)
All of the above programs were installed previously and
ran with no problems for months. I updated all
drivers...and one blue screen error mentioned a video card
problem. So I rolled back my Matrox G550 dual drivers to
the XP default drivers...still a problem!!
Any ideas at all??????? Thank you.
