XP suddenly stopped recognizing my digital camera as a
new drive when I plug it into USB port. It makes the
normal sound but shows no change in the drive listing in
windows explorer. Any ideas as to how to fix?

Hi,

Have you not clicked the "safely remove harddrive icon"
when you unpluged the USB connector last time?

Try remove the digi cam drivers from the add or remove
programs and reboot. Follow the digi cam instructions to
re-install the drivers.

Hope it helps.

My friend had same problem with his canon powershot.
Instead of turning on the camera and then plugging the usb
cable into the usb port, plug in the usb cable then power
on the camera this was the only way to get it to reconize
it as an accessable drive. We later uninstalled the camera
driver and reinstalled clearing up the issue(for now)but i
think it will happen again just a matter of when and what
he does. =)
