No network connection after motherboard upgrade

I am using XP Pro, and after I upgraded the motherboard
in my computer, I can no longer connect to my LAN. The
other computer on the LAN work fine, and adding a
different NIC does not help. My switch shows a
connection, as well as my NIC. I tried to ping the DSL
modem, but that did not work. Earthlink said that all of
my network settings were correct, not to mention that
they are identical to my other computer.

Please help.

Michael,

I would first remove all networking components, then reboot and
add them on again.

If this doesn't solve the problem, you could try a repair
installation of Windows XP. That can't hurt and often solves
such problems, particularly when you changed the hardware.
