Hello,

I have installed .NET 2.0 on a Windows XP with Admin, and after that there
is no configuration program in control panel -> administration tools. What
can be the reason of this?

Thanks
Otto

Look in the Start Menu (All Programs) Administrative Tools instead...

Alan,

Sorry, but I have no such menu item. I have Administrative Tools only in
Control Panel.

Thanks,

Hi,

..NET was installed on that machine many days ago. And it was rebooted many
times, but nothing. :-(
Maybe I should reinstall it.

Best Regards,
Otto

On my computer it is installed at

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\Bin\mscorcfg.msc

You could try installing the .NET SDK.

Hi,

And what about the client machines, where there is no Visual Studio? How can
I set securiry there?
My problem the ability to manage files on a network drive. I have made an
exe without ClickOnce. How can I make it work on an arbitrary machine? I
think I should somehow allow it on that machine to manage files. But how
without configuration program?

Thanks,
Otto

To understand this issue, I guess if I were you I would search the harddrive
for mscorcfg.msc to see if it is there at all, and if so, where? If it
truly is not present, then try installing the .NET SDK. You should be able
to get to the bottom of this.
