I installed a new mouse. A new Belkin USB mouse. And now no
mouse works! I tried installing and unistalling all the
mouse software. My friend came over and tried to mess with
it checking the bios and other things. he couldnt figure it
out. he left on vacation. So I look in the hardware mouse
in the controll panel no mouse! then looked in the device
manager no mouse at all not even a mouse option! in it like
it was never there! so I decided no big deal backed up my
files and formated the hard drive and reinstalled Windows
98 . And when it went to the first screen - It says no ps/2
mouse detected please bla bla bla do so now - so I tried
installing the software again restarting it and everything
still no muse detected. checked the device manager and it
shows no mouse at all no pic nothing. I tried the usb mouse
and it says it detects it but dosnt know what it is! so no
mouse at all! Ive tried turning the comp off plugging it in
and turning it on. Ive tried plugging it in while its on.
Its crazy ware did it go? And what can I do to get it back?
please give some instructions. THANKS ! (e-mail address removed)

If the mouse is connected to a hub as opposed to a USB port directly on the
PC, try connecting it directly to the PC. Beyond that, this is not an XP
issue. You need to contact Belkin's technical support.
