While attempting to network a 2000 machine, inadvertently
uninstalled Internet Protocol and Client for MS networks
on properties for local lan connection.
Of course network capabilities went away but now when open
network connections in control panel or neighborhood,
everything gone, cant re-install.
When machine boots up I get ccAPP.exe has created errors
and will close.
And I can no longer copy or move anything anywhere.
If can't fix will have to reformat.
Any help would be most appreciated.

The ccapp.exe is related to Norton antivirus. You might try to uninstall Norton to
see if your problems go away and then try to reinstall again after reconfiguring
networking. Norton 2003 gives me a lot of grief on my XP Pro computer, such as
removing the security tab from all files and folders occasionally. Always be sure to
disable virus protection when doing any installing/uninstalling of anything. You
might try to go into device manager and uninstall your network adapter and then
reboot which may bring back tcp/ip. Try to boot into safe mode to see if you can copy
and paste. An inplace upgrade is a last resort to a new install and fixes may
problems but requires you to reinstall the service pack first and then all critical
updates at no more than say five to seven at a time. The links below may be
