i thought it was to do with my graphics card being incorrectly fitted into
the agp slot.

i changed cards, and still the same. i even inserted a bog standard pci
card in, and i'm still getting the same problem.

i can (just about) hear the speaker saying "you don't have........ (i can't
make the rest out).

i have an amd athlon 1900 running. could it be SYSCLK set incorrectly, or
maybe VID1-4 set wrong.

i'm just grasping as straws as i really don't know what the problem may be?

i bought it from a newsgroup. any change of asus fixing this if it's under
warranty (i don't know if it is, so i'll have to ask the seller).

thanks all

Sounds like our favourite problem with the A7N8X

No idea how to fix it - changing from AGP to PCI or vice versa seemed to get
it working at least - until next time.
