No message in inbox

I have received only one message in my inbox: "Welcome to Outlook Express"
said to have been sent about Sept. 5. A similar screen appears every time I
open Outlook Express. When I click "inbox" it says there are no unread
messages in my inbox. Is this "welcome' really an email message or was it
generated internally? If it is a real email message, why can't I receive any
more? I can read incoming email at my server's website (there have been over
50 messages received) and I have no problem sending email.
 
Check with your ISP that you have the correct information re. pop3 and smtp
settings entered correctly for your Outlook Express account..
