No longer have a: drive

Thanks in advance for your help, I haven't had the need to use a floppy disk in some time, however, now that I've got some floppy disks with pictures on them, I have no 3 1/2 floppy disk a: drive. I've had Windows XP for about 6 months, but never made the connection that I may have lost the a: drive when Windows XP was loaded. Is there a way to restore this a: drive? Thanks, Again for the help
