no longer can access database after changing password
Posted: 03 Sep 2003 05:43 AM
I can no longer can access my database after changing my
password for windows even though I changed it back.

My wife started my computer and was prompted to change the
password(win 2K Prof) and she did.
After logging in under the new password, I changed it back
to the origional.
Ever since, I can not connect or start the database(sql
2k). I receive the error:
SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
Please help me.
Thanks
Greg

If sql services are running on the machine, try connecting
to SQL with the local administrator account in Enterprise
Manager. If you can, make sure the account you have been
using is allowed. You need to also make sure you are not
connecting using a local sql account and with a windows
authentication account.

David.
