No Local Area Connections Icons

Please help. I'm running Windows 2000 Pro, with SP4, with
multiple network cards. My "Network and Dial Up
Connection" contains no "Local Area Connections" icons.
Anyone knows how to get them back?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
