Lost connectivity through my network card. When I
uninstalled it the connection showed, in the taskbar, as
Local Area Connection2. Could not get connectivity.
I uninstalled the network adapter again, rebooted and it
found the card and installed. The connection then showed
as Local Area Connection3. I have connectivity now, but
am concerned about the stablility. I feel the connection
should be showing as Local Area Connection, not 2 or 3 or
4.

Easy - Go to your Network Connections folder, select the
connection and press F2 (rename). Then call it whatever
you like!!!!! (even local area connection 157516765)
