Is there a way to hide a folder within a share so that only the group who
has access to it can see it listed? Exmple, I have a public folder that is
shared, inside of that folder I have an HR folder; but I don't want anyone
to even know that HR folder exists except HR.

Thanks

The best you can do in that case is to use NTFS permissions to deny access
to other users. This does slightly defeat the purpose of having a 'Public'
folder though. Why don't you create a new share for the HR folder outwith
the Public structure and hide it with the $ share.

That's what I'll do, thanks
