No line to type in addresses

Suddenly today when I go online I do not find the line for me to type in the
web sit address. Have Compaque Presario. IE#6. Any ideas?
 
Hi,
In IE> View> Toolbars, Address Bar is checked, right?

Right-click the IE toolbar and make sure that "Lock the toolbars" is
unchecked. Grab the raised "handles" on each section of the toolbar and move
those up and down as well as side-to-side. The Address Bar is probably
hiding under another section of the toolbar. Lock the toolbars when
finished.

Or, download the REG file from http://windowsxp.mvps.org/reg/IEToolbar.reg
Right-click, choose Merge. This will reset IE toolbars to default
configuration.
